apt-get/Aptitude install package without dependencies
Hi i want to install package without dependencies any idea i can install it ? like am trying to install phpmyadmin on my vps and i have mariadb running when am i do
apt-get install phpmyadmin
it install myql client and mysql server along it due to which mariadb stop working !
am running debian 8 jessie
There are two ways to do it , first one is little difficult and 2nd one is easy
Method 1 :
- find the package with the broken dependencies
- edit the
Depends:line to stop the package complaining.
apt-get download phpmyadmin # apt-get download package_name dpkg --force-all -i phpmyadmin_file_name.deb # dpkg --force-all -i <name of the .deb files you downloaded>
